The Hoodoo 500: Ultimate endurance cycling

The hot desert and high mountains of southwestern Utah provide the landscape for the Hoodoo 500; a truly remarkable annual event in which cyclists have 48 hours to ride the 517 mile course. The winner of the solo division crossed the line after 34 hours of hard riding, made harder by 20-30 mph headwinds. Of the 13 solo riders that started the race, only 5 crossed the line including first time competitor André Michaud in 4th with a time of 42h 18m. Congratulations to all  who participated and especially to André, an accomplished ultra-runner with many 100 mile runs to his credit, on his debut ride. It was an honor to crew for him on this remarkable, super human endeavor.
